Diamond Sales charts for August 2008

Marvel continues its dominance over DC in the comic sales charts as Secret Invasion trumps Final Crisis and Batman: RIP.  Watchmen from DC Comics continues to be strong though for the graphic novel department.

Hello fellow comic lovers! I assume that like me you’re one of those people who have their thought processing or mental functioning happening through moving pictures. Which was probably obtained due to countless of hours reading comic books and other similar literature with graphics / images included.

Many people have experienced reading comic books at one point in their lives. Some experienced it during their childhood and eventually outgrew it as soon as they find more interesting things to turn their focus on (i.e. girls) but for the others who continued to read the books either for entertainment or as a means of escape from the real world, I salute you.

Unfortunately, I am one of those who outgrew it. I started reading marvel books during my childhood years and became a big fan of anything x-men related. Then high school came and reading comics is not as fun as it used to be so I forgot all about it and moved on with my life. Then one day while I was working in the office, I met a co-worker who is into comic books and encouraged me to give reading it another try. I did and got hook once again but probably this time will be for life.

Anyways, this site will basically focus on what’s happening on the current comic scene so current comic readers might find the site interesting and I’ll also do a some sort of a spotlight or focus on several characters, title and storylines, providing you with things you needed to keep abreast of the current happenings, so those who have been meaning to try and start reading will be able to catch on easily through these character spotlights.
